Everton are set to secure their first signing of the summer and it is not even June yet.
David Moyes will be keen to see the Friedkins act quickly this summer so he is ready to go when pre-season kicks off.
There has already been one setback as Everton have lost the battle for Liam Delap to Chelsea, with the striker set to move to London.
However, Everton are set for a busy summer of transfers following a transformation behind the scenes from the new owners.
Everton have also been left with a number of contract decisions to make ahead of the new season.
Idrissa Gana Gueye is set to sign a new Everton contract, but there are some departures which the Toffees will have to address.
And it now looks as if the Friekdins are set to land Carlos Alcaraz on a permanent deal.

Everton set to sign Carlos Alcaraz
Following his loan spell from Flamengo, Everton have negotiated a permanent deal for Alcaraz after failing to meet the obligatory clauses.

A deal has now been agreed between the two clubs with the Argentine set to become the first signing of the summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton have agreed to pay the €15m (£12.6m) asking price demanded by Flamengo.

There will be further payments needing to be made to the Brazilian club, though.
Romano claims €3m (£2.5m) will be paid in add-ons.
Everton fans are delighted to hear Alcaraz’s signing after a strong showing on Merseyside since he landed in January.
There have been a number of departures announced from Everton over recent weeks, but this is finally some positive news for the fans ahead of the window opening.
The Friedkins had no choice but to sign Alcaraz
Moyes was left so impressed by Alcaraz towards the backend of the season at Everton.
The Argentine certainly had to earn the trust of the 62-year-old with Abdoulaye Doucoure taking the majority of the starts.
But Alcaraz proved his worth when he was given the opportunity.
Everton striker Beto praised Alcaraz having benefited from the midfielder’s creativity playing in behind the striker.
Alcaraz essentially gave Everton no other choice but to make his stay permanent.
