Everton have been linked with multiple attackers ahead of the summer transfer window.

David Moyes has made it no secret that he wants to bring in signings over the next few months.

Everton have been linked with Strasbourg striker Emanuel Emegha as the Merseyside club look to finally put an end to their blunt attacking output.

However, Everton have also shown an interest in Liam Delap, who is set to leave Ipswich Town this summer.

Delap set for Chelsea medical despite Everton transfer talks

Moyes had admitted that Everton had talks with Delap in May over a potential transfer.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

The Ipswich striker was on fire throughout the 2024/25 campaign despite the Tractor Boys’ eventual relegation.

As a result, Everton had plenty of competition for Delap’s signature, with Manchester United among the clubs interested.

However, it now appears that the Toffees have missed out on the 22-year-old.

According to the Irish Daily Mail, back page (30 May), Delap is set to have a medical at Chelsea in the next couple of days before he signs a long-term contract.

The London club have agreed to pay the £30 million relegation clause for the striker and will reunite with his former Manchester City youth coach Enzo Maresca, who is now the Chelsea manager.

Everton must now go all out for Emanuel Emegha

Now that it is clear that Everton will not be signing Delap, they must go all out for Emegha.

The Strasbourg striker had a great year in France and could be a key player for the Toffees next season.

With multiple Premier League clubs making early moves in the transfer market, Everton cannot afford to wait around.

Moyes now must ensure a bid is made for the 22-year-old striker to ensure that Emegha is not snatched up by another club like Delap.

Hopefully, moves will be made ahead of the transfer window over the coming weeks to bring a clinical attacker into the Merseyside club.
