Everton’s first signing of the summer is already in the bag.
David Moyes will be expecting a big summer from the Friedkins who will finally be able to splash the cash on Merseyside.
Finally able to spend, Everton have been handed a healthy transfer budget to really bolster their squad ahead of the stadium move.
Big changes could be coming the way of Everton this summer, but there will now be one familiar face sticking around for a little longer.
Carlos Alcaraz has signed for Everton on a permanent basis following their talks with Flamengo.
The Toffees have landed themselves a real bargain having only paid £15m for the attacking midfielder, including add-ons.
But there could be even better news up the Friedkins’ sleeve following the deal to land Alcaraz.

Everton hold extra year clause in Carlos Alcaraz deal
Many were left surprised to hear Alcaraz signed a two-year deal at Everton upon his permanent arrival at the club.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
That is a deal which is not in line with some of the transfers that have been going through in the Premier League over recent years.
However, some positive news has been shed on the details of the contract by The Athletic.
It is believed Everton hold the option to extend Alcaraz’s deal by a further year making his signing a three-year deal.
This will be great news for Everton fans after Moyes was left so impressed by Alcaraz since he returned to the Premier League.
A lot of work needs to be done at Finch Farm this summer but the Friedkins are creating PSR headroom at Everton to make a real go of things.
Alcaraz deal could offer Everton PSR boost
The Hill Dickinson Stadium is going to transform Everton’s finances with revenue increasing considerably on Merseyside.
If Everton are to extend Alcaraz’s deal by a further year, this could offer the club a real PSR boost.
By extending his stay, Everton will be able to spread the cost of Alcaraz’s £15m total package across an extra year.
What that will do is decrease the impact on the club’s PSR hit and, therefore, provide the owners with the ability to spend even more in the market.
Moyes is not expecting an outrageous summer window, but the club is certainly in a much better position to attack the market than it has been for a number of years.
