Everton will need defensive recruitment this window, with thin squad depth at the back after decisions made.
David Moyes will know he needs a squad fit to compete, and could do so by signing a plethora of players.
The Toffees will want to make sure they don’t get into any trouble with PSR like previous times, but luckily, The Friedkin Group seems to know what they’re doing.
Moyes wants a full-back, and it becomes clearer why with Ashley Young leaving Everton and Seamus Coleman only likely having a coaching role.
With this in mind, there is a perfect left-back ready and waiting for Everton, and it looks like a no-brainer.

Everton should now sign left-back who was let go by Tottenham
Vitaliy Mykolenko remains Everton’s sole left-back in the squad, and this creates a warning sign for Moyes.
It seems almost guaranteed that a new left-back will arrive at Bramley-Moore Dock this summer, not only for depth but also to challenge Mykolenko for his position.
Mykolenko finds it ‘hard’ at Everton through the pressure he is under, so this might suggest to Moyes he needs another option to keep the Ukrainian on his toes.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Well, the perfect option is ready and waiting for Moyes as Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon has been released.
Not only does he have an array of Premier League experience, but Everton will know all about him from previous interest.
We can confirm the departures of Fraser Forster, Sergio Reguilon and Alfie Whiteman following the conclusion of their contracts, while Timo Werner departs following the conclusion of his loan spell.
Thank you for your service and all the best for the future, lads 🤍

Carlo Ancelotti tried to sign Sergio Reguilon for £18m at Everton
Evertonians will know the 28-year-old well from his time in the top flight, and his type of ability would no doubt suit Everton.
The left-back is said to be the subject of interest to many clubs, according to Fabrizio Romano, and whether Everton are one is unknown, but they should be.

He’s shown he can be a solid option for Man United and Spurs, with the Spaniard easily having the credentials to compete in Moyes’ side.

Now, Everton can land him for free and build on Carlos Alcaraz’s permanent signing this summer.
