Everton have already sealed their first signing of the summer transfer window.

With June now upon us, clubs around Europe can officially begin their transfer business for the summer, albeit for a 10-day period before the window closes again for a short period of time.

The change was made so that clubs within the Club World Cup can do some transfer business before the competition starts, though it also allows others to start theirs.

With that in mind, Everton have wasted no time in starting their own transfer dealings, with Beto reacting to the latest news on Merseyside.

The Toffees activated the buy clause in his contract after a successful loan spell and announced his permanent arrival in a post on their official Instagram account.

Beto, who has been linked with a move to Leeds, liked the post, while Alcaraz himself replied to the announcement and said “Up the Toffees.”

Alcaraz’s addition is a solid one, but Moyes will need many more of that quality if they are to kick on in the Premier League next season.

Moyes needs to be backed this summer

Everton have made an immense amount of progress since Moyes was appointed, but that will be limited next season if they don’t recruit well, showcasing just how crucial this summer period is going to be for them.

The Toffees need to show some serious ambition this summer and ensure that the Scotsman has the tools needed to thrive in the Premier League and challenge much higher up the table.

With a new era approaching at Bramley-Moore, Everton simply need to get every decision right this summer if they are to return to where they belong in English football.
