Report: How Jarrad Branthwaite genuinely feels about leaving Everton for Chelsea

The summer transfer window is upon us and Everton have already been incredibly busy.

The Toffees have already completed their first signing in Carlos Alcaraz and are making progress with a number of other potential additions.

Moyes is exploring a deal to sign Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is valued at around £40m by Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.

Everton are also eyeing Manchester City’s James McAtee and have been given a boost in their talks after he was left out of the Club World Cup squad.

For all the potential incomings, there is always the backdrop of a big outgoing and with that said, here is the latest on Jarrad Branthwaite’s future at Everton.

What Jarrad Branthwaite is now thinking about his Everton future

Branthwaite’s future was thrown into doubt back in March when reports emerged that he was considering leaving to get into the England squad.

Manchester United positioned themselves at the front of the queue for Branthwaite having tried to sign him last summer.

Now it’s Chelsea who have contacted Everton over a deal for Branthwaite, and Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested, too.

But, TEAMtalk are now reporting that the 22-year-old is happy on Merseyside and won’t push through an exit.

The Toffees are preparing a lucrative contract offer to tie him down to fresh terms, with his current deal up in 2027.

David Moyes wants to build his team around three Everton players

Moyes is absolutely desperate to retain Branthwaite’s signature as he is one of three players he wants to build his team around.

Jordan Pickford and James Tarkowski are the other two, which is actually quite surprising as the latter is seemingly looking to be upgraded on.

The Toffees are trying to sign John Stones, so surely if that deal materialised, Tarkowski would drop to the bench.

Anyhow, the good news is, all roads lead towards Branthwaite staying, as it stands.
