Everton will be in the market for more attacking midfield reinforcements despite already completing a permanent move for Charly Alcaraz, sources have told Football Insider.
The Toffees have activated their £12.6million option to sign Alcaraz, 22, from Flamengo and he has signed an initial two-year deal.
However, Everton will plot further reinforcements in attacking midfield areas this summer – with the position earmarked as a priority for David Moyes.
Abdoulaye Doucoure has made the number ten role his own on Merseyside but will be allowed to leave as a free agent at the end of his deal later this month.

His departure is set to leave former Southampton star Alcaraz as the only creative midfielder on the books at Everton.
Matt O’Riley has been linked with a potential switch this summer, but Football Insider has revealed (2 June) that Brighton will demand to recoup their total investment on the midfielder.

That includes the £25million fee they paid to Celtic to land the 24-year-old just nine months ago.
Dwight McNeil led the way creatively for Everton in the 2024-25 campaign.
Moyes is a big fan of O’Riley after his exploits in Scotland but it is believed a deal could prove difficult to do this summer.
In any case, Everton will draft in additional midfield reinforcements as they plan to start life in the Hill Dickinson Stadium with a bang.
Moyes’ side will learn their first opponents in the new ground later this month (18 June).

‘Everton keen on Sunderland star man’
Meanwhile, Everton are reportedly interested a deal to sign Sunderland’s talented right-back Trai Hume this summer.
The Northern Ireland international joined the recently-promoted Black Cats in 2022 from Linfield and has gone on to make 132 appearances for the club.
Sky Sports claim (2 June) Wolves, Everton and a number of La Liga clubs are interested in Hume despite Sunderland’s promotion to the Premier League.
