Everton star sends subtle hint to The Friedkin Group about re-signing Richarlison this summer

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be assessing his own future, but the Everton striker knows what he wants.

Everton have already made some ruthless decisions this window, as The Friedkins didn’t offer pay rises to some players.

This is showing a real change in how operations work around the club and is certainly a positive sign.

Another who could be on the other end of these ruthless decisions is Calvert-Lewin, who is nowhere near a new Everton deal.

This could mean an exit is on the cards with time running out, but it still hasn’t stopped the striker asking for a transfer.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin gives opinion on Richarlison returning to Everton

The 28-year-old is facing an uncertain future under David Moyes, but Calvert-Lewin wants a new contract.

He’s made that very clear to the club, but it’s whether The Friedkins see fit to take on a striker who’s out of form and also suffers injury issues.

A player who could be coming the other way is Richarlison, but even the Brazilian’s return has now been put in doubt.

Alan Myers thinks Richarlison joining Everton is doubtful, which many Evertonians won’t want to hear, and Calvert-Lewin sympathises with their wishes.

Speaking to the High Performance Podcast, the Everton striker spoke on his partnership with the Tottenham star during their time at Goodison Park, and gave his view on Richarlison returning to the Toffees.

“I thoroughly enjoyed playing with Richy, I miss playing with Richy. We had a good partnership really,” Calvert-Lewin said.

How Richarlison could replace Calvert-Lewin at Everton

The two spent four brilliant seasons together, scoring goals galore and proving to be a serious threat to the opposition.

With Calvert-Lewin being positive about Everton’s future, he’ll wish the best for the club, whether he’s there or not, and after his time playing with Richarlison, it explains why he might want the Brazilian back, especially after their form in the 20/21 season under Carlo Ancelotti.

Despite their incredible connection on the pitch, the extraordinary thing is that if Calvert-Lewin does end up leaving the club, Richarlison could be his replacement.

Although it’s been claimed that the 28-year-old joining is unlikely, Spurs are listening to offers for Richarlison, and should Moyes see a gap in his striker options, he might see fit for the Brazilian to return.

The best outcome for Everton fans would be to see the pairing share the pitch once again, but the future isn’t looking bright.
