Everton are interested in signing Brighton star Matt O'Riley this summer but expect big competition from European clubs, according to Sky Sports.
The Toffees are expected to be busy in the summer transfer window as David Moyes wants to strengthen the squad, while new owners The Friedkin Group are also expected to provide funds to help do that.
Several players are expected to leave the club when their contracts expire too, and Moyes is now eyeing a midfield addition in the shape of the Denmark international.
Everton Want to Sign O'Riley
Unclear if Brighton willing to sell

O'Riley, who joined Brighton in a record-breaking £25m deal from Celtic last summer, struggled to make a big impact on the Premier League in his maiden campaign.
The Dane suffered a serious ankle injury minutes into his debut and missed a large chunk of the season, before going on to make 21 appearances in the top flight and registering just two goals and two assists.
But those performances haven't put clubs off, with Everton keen on doing a deal if it becomes apparent that the Seagulls would be willing to let him go. As it stands, that is unclear, with Brighton believing he could make a significant impact in the 2025/26 season.
The 24-year-old, who has been described as "phenomenal" by Brendan Rodgers, would bring goals and creativity to the Everton midfield, something that has been greatly missed in recent seasons.
Abdoulaye Doucoure will leave the club when his contract expires this summer, and while Charly Alcaraz has made his loan move permanent they will still be looking to make more additions to midfield before they move into the new Hill Dickinson Stadium.
