Everton ‘testing waters’ over signing Oğuz Aydın – Scouts sent in December

There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Everton are still showing interest in Fenerbahce forward Oğuz Aydın ahead of the summer window.

The Premier League side were linked with the 24-year-old earlier in the season after reports they sent a scout to watch him.

Sporx today report Aydın is on the radar of multiple European clubs following his impressive performances for Fenerbahce in this campaign.

It’s claimed Everton are ‘testing the waters’ over signing the attacker, along with Ajax and Lazio. There are no reports if any of the interested clubs have made an approach for the winger.

However, it seems unlikely the Yellow Canaries will sell the Turkey international in the next transfer window as he’s seen as a key player in Jose Mourinho’s squad.

In December, we covered reports an Everton scout travelled to Istanbul to get a lowdown on Aydin during the derby between Fenerbahce and Besiktas. Arsenal have also been linked with the player in the past.

Aydin made 27 appearances under Mourinho this season, scoring seven goals. He’s contracted to the Super Lig side until June 2028 after signing from Alanyaspor last summer.
