Everton have been linked with a sensational move for Manchester City outcast Jack Grealish, and a move could now materialise.

Grealish will leave Man City after a difficult season, and could be allowed to depart on a loan deal with some of his wages potentially covered.

Everton are looking for more attacking firepower to support David Moyes, and Grealish could be a perfect fit on the left wing.

The Friedkin Group completed a takeover of Everton earlier this season, and they could now aim to sign the England international in what is an important summer transfer window.

Everton’s upcoming move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium could be made even better if the new ground is opened with a marquee signing.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

It has now been reported by the Daily Mail (8 June) that the Friedkin Group want a statement signing, and Grealish could fit the bill as a big name arriving.

Signing the 29-year-old would be a “serious statement of intent”, it is reported, that Everton are ready to progress after a few years of stagnation under previous ownership.

No talks have taken place, but it is said that the Friedkins are aware of Grealish’s availability.

Moyes has made a successful return to Everton, and he could now continue to help them progress higher up the table, and the signing of Grealish would certainly benefit him.

Grealish can bring creative spark to Everton

Everton have signed Carlos Alcaraz, who will join Iliman Ndiaye as a creative force, but Grealish could take this to another level.

Grealish is capable of playing centrally or wide, and before his move to Man City, was one of the best players in the Premier League.

Even at City, he has displayed his ability in driving the ball forward from midfield and creating, and he could provide a game-changing spark that Everton have sometimes lacked.

The signing would be a statement in itself, but if Everton can get Grealish back to his best, they could even fancy themselves to push for the top 10 or even a place in Europe.

If the Friedkin Group back Moyes with a mixture of smart signings and a statement like Grealish, then Everton’s first season at their new stadium could be a very enjoyable one.
