The name on every Evertonian’s lips at the moment is Jack Grealish, with this deal certainly having legs.
It seems obvious that Grealish will be leaving Man City this summer after his £100m move just hasn’t worked out.
With uncertainty surrounding the transfer from happening, Grealish joining Everton is now ‘plausible’.
Despite this, it will certainly take The Friedkin Group to pull some strings this window to make a deal happen seem possible.
The winger needs a rejuvenation in his career, and with Everton looking like the most likely destination now, Fabrizio Romano has weighed in on the chances of it coming to reality.

Fabrizio Romano on the chances of Everton signing Jack Grealish
The doubt around this move coming to fruition is due to the 29-year-old’s high wages, which is the main obstacle in Everton’s way.
Even though this provides a roadblock in the Toffees’ pursuit of the City midfielder, David Moyes will no doubt push as hard as possible to pull this extraordinary move off.
However, in the back of The Friedkins’ mind, they will be thinking to act sustainably as Everton could have as little as £50m to spend this summer.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Nevertheless, speaking to DAZN, well-renowned journalist Romano has given his thoughts, and even labelled a percentage of Everton’s chances at this stage.
“Grealish is likely to leave this summer, with Everton as a possible destination, though negotiations are not advanced,” Romano said.
“His high £300,000 weekly wage makes a loan deal likely, with City possibly covering part of it.
“Everton is interested, but no deal is confirmed; I give it a 35% chance.
“Other clubs like West Ham and Newcastle are also in the race, complicating the transfer.”

Everton should take a risk with a Grealish loan this summer
As mentioned by Romano, the only likely outcome of the two crossing paths is through a loan deal.
Even though Pep Guardiola is looking to offload a plethora of players permanently this window, the wage of the winger just doesn’t fit the bill in terms of clubs signing him permanently.
But this doesn’t mean Everton shouldn’t continue their charge for the England international, as with City likely to sign Rayan Cherki this summer, Grealish will certainly be on his way.
A loan means that Moyes can take a risk with the 29-year-old who has been out of form, and if he really impresses, a permanent transfer could be sanctioned further down the line.
