David Moyes, Arne Slot
Everton are interested in signing Liverpool duo Ben Doak and Joe Gomez as David Moyes aims to strengthen his squad this summer.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the Liverpool stars, 19 and 28 respectively, could be allowed to leave.
The last player to make the switch from the red side of Merseyside to the blue was Gary Ablett in 1992, but a shocking double deal could now be on the cards.
Brown previously told Football Insider that Liverpool would be open to Doak joining Everton, with the rivalry unlikely to complicate the deal if the money was right.
Now, they have joined a number of other Premier League sides who are interested in signing Gomez, who could be allowed to leave Anfield this summer.
Football Insider revealed last year that Newcastle and Aston Villa wanted to sign Gomez, and the interest in his signature is not believed to have died down.

Liverpool duo Joe Gomez and Ben Doak backed to join Everton
Brown told Football Insider in April that Everton want to sign four new players with new full-backs and wingers at the top of their list of targets.
The former scout who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that both Gomez and Doak will be on Moyes’ radar this summer.
“*Joe Gomez has always been a player Liverpool rate highly,*” he told Football Insider.
“But Conor Bradley is ahead of him in the pecking order and now Frimpong has come in as well, so where does that leave Gomez in the pecking order?
“It looks like he’ll be allowed to leave in search of increased playing time, and he’ll be open to that.
“There are a few Premier League sides keeping an eye on that situation, and Everton are one of those.
“It’s a deal that makes a lot of sense because he won’t have to move, and David Moyes wants to add two full-backs to his side.
“Gomez would fit in nicely there with how Moyes plays and he could do a job at centre-back too.
“Ben Doak is being spoken about as well, he could be another one to leave Liverpool.
“He’s spent a season in the Championship and he’s clearly a talented player.
“I hear from my sources that Everton are looking at him as well, and that’s something I can see happening for the same reasons as the Gomez deal.
“He’s on the doorstep so it’s less complicated in those terms, and they need wingers.
“Again, it’s another deal I wouldn’t be surprised to see happen there.
“They’re not the only club interested in either player, but they could make them attractive offers to join.”

Luis Diaz update emerges amid Barcelona interest
Doak and Gomez are not the only players being linked with moves away from Liverpool this summer, as Luis Diaz’s future remains uncertain.
Football Insider revealed on 8 June that Diaz could push to leave Liverpool as they are only likely to sell if he makes it clear he wants to leave the club.
Barcelona had been interested in the Colombia international, but were rebuffed by Arne Slot’s side after holding initial talks about his availability.
Football Insider revealed on 6 June that Liverpool have reduced Diaz’s asking price from £85million to roughly £70m, but Barcelona could still miss out.
