Everton are in desperate need of signing a new striker this summer.
It has been clear for months now that David Moyes was going to see Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future go right down to the wire.
Finally, it appears Everton have reached a conclusion with their 28-year-old striker whose contract is expiring this month.
Calvert-Lewin will leave Everton at the end of the month as he is set to test his options as a free agent.
This has only increased the demand for Everton to add to their forward options which were already fairly thin.
Heading into the summer market, Everton were prioritising a striker signing with uncertainty remaining around Calvert-Lewin’s future.
Teams in the Premier League have been looking to make a quick start to the newly formatted summer window, but the Toffees are still weighing up their options.

Roma hand Everton new Tammy Abraham timeframe
Everton are interested in Tammy Abraham whose future in Rome is also looking uncertain this summer.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
The Friedkins own the Italian outfit which could make a deal much easier to get over the line, but he is just one of the options.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the newly appointed Gian Piero Gasperini is now evaluating Abraham ahead of his final decision on the striker.
Although Everton are keen to get up and running in the market it seems they may need to bide their time when it comes to Abraham.
Having returned from his AC Milan loan, Abraham is set to enjoy a summer break before playing in front of Gasperini in early July.
The former Atalanta manager will then make his final decision on whether Abraham could potentially hold a future in the Italian capital.
Everton could offer Abraham a return to England but there are other interested Premier League sides like West Ham United.
Moyes will currently be enjoying his own summer break, but there will be a real burning desire to get some new faces through the door for the start of pre-season.
Everton need a solid new starting striker
Beto impressed Moyes with some strong performances under the Scot, but there was also a barren run between his run of goals.
Moving into the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Everton are going to demand a striker who they can rely on to take the club forward.
There will be some questions as to whether Beto is that player given his goals have come in purple patches.
Everton are also keen on signing Thierno Barry from Villarreal as Angus Kinnear looks to find Moyes the right man to lead his front line.
