Randal Kolo Muani speaks out on his future

Manchester United have already secured Matheus Cunha and are actively working on a deal for Bryan Mbeumo, but their summer rebuild is far from done.

Despite their aggressive early moves, INEOS know that United’s attack remains the weakest link, especially after last season’s dismal goalscoring record.

Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund combined for only 17 goals across all competitions – a stat that left fans and management frustrated throughout the 2024/25 campaign.

Hojlund has since attracted interest from Inter Milan and could leave if the right offer lands, while Zirkzee has yet to win over critics in his short spell at Old Trafford.

With Champions League football off the table, United’s recruitment drive must be sharp, calculated and bold – and that’s where Ruben Amorim’s next forward could enter.

Randal Kolo Muani has publicly declared he wants to stay at Juventus beyond his current loan deal – but with his future up in the air, Manchester United are circling.

The 26-year-old striker joined the Serie A giants on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in January and impressed in his short spell, scoring eight goals and assisting twice in 19 appearances.

Speaking to L’Equipe after helping France beat Germany 2-0 in the Nations League third-place playoff, Randal Kolo Muani said: “I’m very happy at Juventus, I hope to continue there… I’m going with them to the Club World Cup.”

However, his loan contract officially ends on 30 June and Juventus have yet to secure him permanently – a gap United could exploit as they search for a clinical forward.

Kolo Muani has fallen out of favour at PSG under Luis Enrique, who guided the Parisians to Champions League glory last season and is reportedly open to moving the forward on.

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is understood to admire Kolo Muani’s versatility and experience, with the Frenchman’s World Cup final pedigree adding valuable weight to his CV.

The striker has also been linked with Tottenham, but United’s interest could intensify if they decide to cash in on Hojlund.

While the Red Devils are also keeping a close eye on Amorim’s former striker Viktor Gyokeres, a deal for the Sporting star may be complicated by ongoing disagreements with his current club.

With Kolo Muani’s future still uncertain, Amorim and United may be ready to pounce – and finally add the finishing touch to their new-look attack.
