Manchester United showing interest in Poland international – Pre-agreement won’t let Red Devils sign him

Manchester United have identified OGC Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bułka as a target this summer, according to a report from France.

André Onana has been No.1 over the past two seasons, and his performances haven’t been convincing on a regular basis. Recent claims in the UK have said Manchester United could look for a new stopper for next season.

Sports Zone took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report that Manchester United are looking at Bułka.

The Poland international initially joined the Ligue 1 club on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 and his stay was made permanent a year later. He has just over a year left on his contract but wants to change clubs in the coming months.

According to Sports Zone, the 25-year-old has ‘already asked’ the French club for an exit this summer.

Despite Sports Zone’s claim of interest from Ruben Amorim’s side, they won’t be able to sign the Nice player at least until September.

Both Manchester United and Nice are owned by Ineos. Last summer, the First Chamber of the UEFA Club Financial Control Body [CFCB] had opened proceedings over the multi-club model. The two clubs were allowed to participate in this season’s European competition.

A year ago, UEFA said Manchester United and Nice “will not transfer players to each other, whether permanently or on loan, directly or indirectly, from July 2024 until September 2025, with the exception of pre-existing transfer agreements that had been entered into before the opening of the CFCB proceedings.”

Therefore, Manchester United won’t be able to sign Bułka from Nice this summer.
