RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko’s summer priority is to join Arsenal, despite recent interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed.
Two clubs from Saudi Arabia are believed to have enquired about the Slovenia international this week, but have been told that Sesko’s preference is a summer move to the Emirates.
The 22-year-old striker reportedly feels he is ‘too young’ to go to Saudi Arabia at this stage and remains focused on completing his desired switch to North London.
Arsenal are said to be working on a verbal agreement with Sesko, and other clubs believe they still have a chance in the race, as long as an agreement is not yet reached.

According to Plettenberg, enquiries from Saudi clubs have not altered Sesko’s stance, as his preference remains a move to Arsenal this summer:
“Don't panic, the deal is still on between RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko and Arsenal.
“Two clubs from Saudi Arabia have enquired about Sesko in the last few hours, but they have been told that Sesko's preference is to continue with Arsenal as he is too young to go to Saudi Arabia.
“Arsenal are still working on a verbal agreement, but as long as there is no verbal agreement, other teams do still have a chance.
“But at this stage, the talks are still ongoing between the Gunners and Sesko for a summer transfer.”
Arsenal are also believed to be in club-to-club talks over Sesko’s arrival, as his transfer fee reportedly remains a sticking point in negotiations.
Leipzig are said to be demanding that his €80m (£67m) release clause be paid in full, while Arsenal have been trying to bring that fee down in recent discussions.
Sesko was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates last summer before he signed a new five-year deal with Leipzig, keeping him at the club until June 2029.
The Slovenia international has enjoyed a career-best season in Germany, scoring 21 goals and providing six assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.
