Sources: Man Utd enter talks to sign 6 ft 6 colossus for Amorim

Manchester United have opened initial discussions with Marcin Bulka's entourage about a potential move to Old Trafford after the Nice star was included on their shortlist of goalkeeper targets ahead of the summer transfer window reopening for business next week, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.

Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim has already bolstered his attacking options as preparations are made for next season, with Matheus Cunha completing a £62.5million switch after the release clause written into his Wolverhampton Wanderers contract was triggered, but there is a desire to do more business.

A second offer is being lined up for Bryan Mbeumo as Manchester United have remained determined to reach an agreement with Premier League counterparts Brentford despite an initial proposal being rejected, while there is a serious possibility that they will secure a fresh option between the sticks.

Red Devils Facing Competition for Bulka Deal

Manchester United have entered talks with Bulka's representatives in an attempt to discover whether he would be interested in arriving from Nice, according to GMS sources, but they have stopped short of opening club-to-club negotiations even though Italian heavyweights AC Milan and Turkish giants Galatasaray are providing competition for his signature.

The 25-year-old Poland international is preparing to enter the final 12 months of a contract which allows him to pocket less than £6,000-per-week, leading to the Red Devils and additional suitors sniffing an opportunity to pounce for a cut-price fee when the transfer window reopens on June 16.

GMS sources have been informed that Manchester United have decided to make contact with members of Bulka's entourage, having seen him enjoy a productive 2024/25 campaign for Nice, even though they are still determining whether to bring in a new custodian who would leapfrog Andre Onana at the top of the pecking order.

The Red Devils' 6ft 6in target has been described as 'sensational' by scout Jacek Kulig, thanks to making himself one of the first names on the team sheet in his current surroundings, and is firmly on Amorim's radar as a potential recruit as he aims to recover from missing out on European qualification and silverware since succeeding Erik ten Hag at the helm.

Manchester United have discovered that Bulka is likely to cost upwards of £13million despite his contract situation, GMS sources have learned, but AC Milan and Galatasaray are also keen to lure him to Serie A and the Trendyol Super Lig respectively as they have enquired about his availability.

Onana Seeks Clarity on Future at Old Trafford

Goalkeeper not told he is surplus to requirements at this stage

GMS sources have been told that Manchester United have not made a final call on whether Onana is surplus to requirements, leading to him still seeking clarity over his future, but suggestions that he could join newly-promoted Saudi Pro League side Neom are wide of the mark at this stage.

The Cameroonian has been the Red Devils' first-choice shot-stopper since completing a switch worth up to £47.2million from Inter Milan in July 2023 but, having made high-profile errors during the 2024/25 campaign, Amorim is carefully considering his options and refusing to rule out landing a replacement.

Onana went on holiday focused on Manchester United as he has not been warned that he is for sale or at risk of losing his regular starting berth, GMS sources understand, but influential figures are assessing the market and will communicate their decision to him after the initial plan was to bring in a replacement for Altay Bayindir ahead of his expected exit.
