'Honestly': Journalist says he's been told something 'amazing' about Milos Kerkez ahead of Liverpool move

Milos Kerkez’s transfer to Liverpool now feels like it’s a done deal.

A fee worth around £45million has been quoted since the links with Kerkez first emerged in January, and ever since, it’s felt like the left-back has only had eyes for the Reds.

One of Kostas Tsimikas or Andy Robertson will likely leave Liverpool upon the left-back’s arrival, so that those who remain at the club will be able to have an equal amount of playing time next season.

At the moment, it feels like the Greek Scouser is the most likely of the two to exit, with clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Juventus being linked with a move for the defender.

Lewis Steele reports that he’s heard Milos Kerkez’s character is amazing ahead of his Liverpool move

Kerkez has had a breakthrough season with Bournemouth, and to be honest, it’s not all that surprising to see Liverpool among the many clubs linked with him.

Speaking via his personal YouTube Channel, journalist Lewis Steele gave an insight into how far off the transfer of the defender is, as well as what he’s heard about him.

“Kerkez, I think that will happen soon as well. I think that’s pretty obvious,” he said.

“I was on the phone today for about 20 minutes today [with someone] who knows very well about Kerkez, and honestly, the character references he’s got are amazing in terms of his personality.”

What Liverpool fans can expect from Milos Kerkez

Unless you’ve been living under a rock this season, you’ll know that the Hungary international has been widely regarded as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League this term.

Robertson and Tsimikas have done a more than impressive job at holding down the fort over the last couple of seasons at Liverpool, but, after their performances throughout the 2024-25 campaign, it’s clear that some fresh blood is needed within their ranks.

Not only does Kerkez have plenty of pace within him, but he also has a keen eye for goal and could end up being as productive as Robertson was in his prime if his development carries on like this.

The Hungary international is also just 22 years old and has plenty of room to develop into an even more polished product once the Liverpool manager has his hands on him.

At the end of the day, if Slot’s men want to continue being competitive, they need to start making some moves in the market; otherwise, they’ll be left behind their title rivals, who have already added many new faces to their ranks.
