Kevin Durant has been one of the most talked about players in the NBA over the past few seasons.
He’s been disgruntled with several organizations, which has led to some relatively hostile exits.
While Durant is with the Phoenix Suns at the moment, he’s not expected to be there during the 2025-26 season.
Many top insiders believe he’ll be traded this offseason, as Durant reportedly is looking to join a team that he believes has a chance to win a championship.
Several teams have been linked to him at this point, and one insider recently highlighted another franchise likely to be interested.
“The [Miami] Heat are expected to join in on the Kevin Durant sweepstakes, per Zach Lowe,” Legion Hoops wrote on X.

Miami is an interesting potential destination for Durant, as the Heat don’t necessarily have the superstars he’s played with over the past few years.
Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro and Andrew Wiggins are a nice core, but nothing compared to the talent Durant had as teammates in the past.
One might view Miami’s players as a serious downgrade from what he has around him in Phoenix, but Durant is seemingly in desperate need of a change.
The Heat have been a consistent playoff team over the past decade, which is certainly a positive, but it will be interesting to see if Durant sees enough potential in them to be a serious contender.
