Luis Diaz is one of the many Liverpool players who have been linked with an exit this summer.
The Colombia international was one of the Anfield outfit’s best players, with his form in front of goal second only to Mohamed Salah.
Barcelona have already had an offer rebuffed from Liverpool for the 28-year-old, with Arne Slot seemingly seeing him as an important part of their team next season.

However, seeing as though Diaz has already packed up his apartment in Liverpool, it feels like he may have already made up his mind regarding where his future lies.
Barcelona cannot afford to pay £67.7million to sign Luis Diaz
One of the main problems with Barcelona over the last few seasons has been their finances.
The Catalan outfit were pulling out all sorts of economic levers to make ends meet.
However, now that they’ve found themselves back at the top of La Liga, they want to continue improving their squad and ensuring they have the best chance of retaining the title as well as making it into the latter stages of the Champions League.
And, even though their finances aren’t yet sorted, they still seem to be big players in the transfer market.

But, as per a new report from Spanish outlet Diario Sport, things could start to get ‘complicated’ regarding a deal for Diaz.
It is ‘very clear’ to Barcelona that they can’t pay the €80million (£67.7million) that Liverpool want to allow the attacker to exit Anfield.
The report outlines that this is due to him having ‘two years of contract’ left and because he will be 29 years old in September.
Barcelona did, however, ‘promise’ the attacker that they’d do all they could to sign him, but at the moment, things don’t look too good regarding his potential exit, despite there being ‘many options’ on the table.

Liverpool must keep Luis Diaz or Darwin Nunez
Diaz and Darwin Nunez are the most likely to leave Liverpool this summer.
The duo have both been rumoured to be interested in an Anfield exit since the 2024-25 season kicked off, and ever since, the transfer links have seemingly persisted.
Even though both may want to exit this summer, it feels like Slot can only sanction the sale of one, as both would be fairly difficult to replace, especially with how competitive the market is likely to be.
Seeing as though Diaz has no interest in making a move to Saudi Arabia, it looks like Nunez will be the one on the way out, especially if Barcelona can’t drum up the funds for Diaz.
At the end of the day, these are all ifs, buts and maybes with no guarantee of what’s going to come next.
So, once the summer transfer window reopens on 16 June, don’t be surprised if the rumour mill starts to go into overdrive once again.
