Announced live at the 2025 BET Awards, the show will premiere this fall and pair Newton with media personality Ashley Nicole Moss.
And yes—Cam wore a fedora for the occasion.
“This is what I’ve been building toward,” Newton said backstage after the announcement. “The game may have changed, but my drive to inspire and entertain hasn’t.”

“106 & Sports is the evolution of what our audience has always loved, music, culture, and the figures who are shaping the world both on the mic and on the field,” a BET executive said in a statement. “This show will highlight the intersection of athleticism and artistry in a way only BET can.”
Translation: Cam Newton was born for this.
Cam Newton didn’t just play in Charlotte, he transformed it. He won an MVP, led a Super Bowl run, and danced his way into the hearts of a fanbase still chasing that spark. Watching him now, confident, creative, and completely himself, should give Panthers fans something to root for again.
