Portugal’s win over Spain in the Nations League final meant that two Manchester United players ended the season with a trophy.
After a turbulent season for everyone involved with Manchester United, it’s now time for every member of Ruben Amorim’s squad to recharge, now that the June international break is over.
Amorim will hope to add more signings to his squad before pre-season begins, with United announcing the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
There is also uncertainty over the future of several players. Ineos are planning to raise funds for transfers by selling players who are deemed surplus to requirements in Amorim’s plans.
While the summer gives each player a chance to recharge for the season ahead, those at United will also get time to reflect on how poorly the team performed throughout the season.
United fans must see an improvement on the pitch next season.

One player who divides a lot of United fans is Diogo Dalot.
There is no disputing that the Portugal international is admired by Amorim, due to his availability record and willingness to play multiple roles, though Dalot is regularly at fault for conceded goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo makes decision on his future
Former United star Ronaldo has been subject to intense speculation surrounding his future following the end of the Saudi Pro League season.
Ronaldo had been linked with a move to clubs competing at this summer’s Club World Cup that begins this Sunday.
Speaking about Portugal’s triumph in the Nations League, Ronaldo told reporters (via ESPN): “Future? Nothing will change. Al Nassr? Yes.”
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December 2022 after a second spell at Old Trafford ended under a grey cloud following a public spat with Erik ten Hag.
