James Cook, running back for the Buffalo Bills, was recently seen at the mandatory minicamp and spoke to reporters about the reason why he showed up for training despite being unhappy with the team. Cook has been pretty vocal in the past couple of months about his dissatisfaction with the Buffalo Bills and also expressed his desire to be traded to another franchise.
Cook has been with the Buffalo Bills for several seasons now and is indeed a seasoned veteran. The Georgia University alumnus is one of the team’s most talented players and Bills fans will definitely not be happy if he leaves. In the last season alone, Cook managed to contribute a total of 16 touchdowns for the team.
“I like my money, you know? Definitely do. So, that’s why I’m here. I mean, why not? I’m here. I’m part of the team. I’m a leader. So, just got to practice and get the job done.” James Cook spoke to reporters after the minicamp, explaining why he chose to show up for training despite being unhappy with the Buffalo Bills.

James Cook has not only vocally discussed his dissatisfaction with the Buffalo Bills, but also has listed his home in Buffalo for sale. This further fueled news that the running back is definitely done with the Bills and is looking for other options. The main point of contention between Cook and the Buffalo Bills was the team not giving him a solid long-term contract, which the running back desperately wants.

James Cook Did Not Show For Voluntary Workouts Earlier
James Cook’s presence in the recent minicamp definitely came as a surprise for many, especially since the running back was already a no-show in previous voluntary workouts with the Buffalo Bills. According to sources, Cook would have earned a hefty fine if he did not make it to the team’s minicamp, which is probably a good reason as to why he decided to show up anyway.

As per NFL analysts, Cook and the Buffalo Bills are not expected to arrive at a proper conclusion any time soon. The talented running back is apparently asking to be paid along the lines of $15 million per year, which the Bills are not ready to shell out. However, if he manages to crack the deal, Cook will become one of the highest-paid running backs in the NFL.
