West Ham will need to lower their asking price for Mohammed Kudus if they want to sell him this summer, according to talkSPORT pundit Ally McCoist.
It is believed that the Hammers have already knocked back enquiries from the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal for the Ghanaian international, while Newcastle are also thought to be interested in the player. Asked for his thoughts on Kudus moving to St James’ Park, McCoist said that he doesn’t think the Magpies or other clubs will pay over the odds for him:
“West Ham fans will be devastated to lose him. I think he would be an absolute superstar for Newcastle but not for £75m!”

Kudus has an £85m release clause which becomes active for the first 10 days of July, although there is a feeling that the Irons will offload him for below that amount.
A £50m proposal for Kudus has been rejected
Reports surfaced earlier this week that Arsenal enquired about signing the 24-year-old but West Ham felt that the offer on the table was not high enough.
The Gunners was said to be prepared to pay around £50m for Kudus, but that was deemed too low.
Would West Ham consider a swap deal?
The Irons are known to be interested in several Chelsea stars. They have been linked with the likes of Trevoh Chalobah, Axel Disasi, Tosin Adarabioyo and even Joao Felix in recent months.
For that reason, you can’t rule out a potential move that could see Kudus making the switch to Stamford Bridge, with one and two players moving in the other direction.
There have already been suggestions that the likes of Robert Sanchez and Kiernan Dewsburty-Hall have been offered to Graham Potter’s side but it seems they are not keen on signing the pair.
