Arsenal have learned that Nottingham Forest have set a £60m asking price for winger Anthony Elanga.
The Gunners are looking to add a winger this summer, with the two most likely targets being Nico Williams and Rodrygo. But they have also been linked with several others too, with the likes of Bryan Mbeumo and Leroy Sane also linked.

Mikel Arteta wants to strengthen his depth in the wide positions in order to ease some of the pressure on Bukayo Saka, who suffered a hamstring injury last season, which damaged Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League title.
However, it now seems that the Gunners are interested in a new name as they look to add more attacking quality to the ranks at the Emirates.
Arsenal want to sign Anthony Elanga
The Gunners are reportedly keen to sign Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga, who is also a target of Premier League rivals Newcastle United this summer after they have seemingly missed out on Bryan Mbeumo.
According to a report by the Boot Room, Forest have set a £60m price tag on Elanga this summer, which places him in a similar cost region to Mbeumo, who Brentford have valued at £60m too. The Swedish international had a breakout season for Forest this year, using his pace to produce devastating counter-attacks for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
He managed to score six goals and provide 12 assists for Forest in 43 matches last season, which is why the likes of Newcastle and Arsenal are keen to sign him. However, the report says that Forest don’t want to sell the winger this summer, hence why they have set such a high price tag on him.
Who could the Gunners sign instead of Elanga
If they decide to pass on Elanga, it will likely be because they are prioritising one of Rodrygo or Nico Williams. We recently did a statistical comparison of the pair, which Williams won, despite it being incredibly close.
The 22-year-old Spaniard is expected to cost just £48m, which is cheap compared to the likes of Elanga, Mbeumo and Rodrygo, who are all likely to command a fee of at least £60m.
Williams would be the most viable option for Arsenal, although his wage demands would make him one of the highest-paid players at the club, and the Gunners still need the money to afford a striker.
