Manchester United will look to sign a central midfielder in the summer transfer window. The main focus has been on attacking additions as Ruben Amorim looks to add more goals to his side, though he is also eager to improve the athleticism of his squad, with a new recruit in a central role.
United have already agreed a deal to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves later this month, while a second bid is planned for Brentford ace Bryan Mbeumo. They will also look to sign a striker, with Viktor Gyokeres the dream addition for that role.
In an ideal world, United will also add at least one central midfielder to their squad, though they could even target two midfielders if they manage to sell Casemiro. There is a preference to sign those already proven in the Premier League, and here is a look at what their midfield options could be in a dream scenario next season.
