The Cleveland Guardians’ offense has been mediocre all season.
Lately, however, it has been disastrous.
We are on June 11 and they still haven’t scored more than four runs in a game this month.
That puts a lot of pressure on the pitching staff, and it hasn’t been as sharp as last year.
In June, the Guards ranked 27th out of 30 MLB teams with a 74 wRC+.
That’s not what you want to see from a team with postseason aspirations.
Cleveland sports personality Ken Carman had some harsh words of criticism for Cleveland’s offense.
“@KenCarman: Guardians offense has been so bad lately, it feels like a chore to watch…’like the Browns in November'”, 92.3 The Fan posted on X.

Well, he is not wrong: the vast majority of Guardians fans watching the team in June would tell you that they aren’t enjoying what they’re seeing.
It does feel like a chore sometimes.
Again, nine straight games without scoring more than four runs is painful to watch, and the team has been shut out in two of those games.
It seems like Jose Ramirez is the only one producing at the moment.
Every team endures rough stretches over a 162-game season, even the truly elite ones.
This feels like something deeper, more serious than just a blip, though.
If they want to be competitive until the very end, Cleveland will need to address its offense with outside acquisitions and the promotion of a couple of top prospects.
They need to be bold, and they need to be aggressive.
