Louisville coach Pat Kelsey on the road at NBA Players Association Top 100 camp

ROCK HILL, S.C. - University of Louisville basketball coach Pat Kelsey is recruiting at the NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp on Wednesday, the first of two days college coaches can be out evaluating at the Rock Hill Sports Center.

And Kelsey is not alone.

The second-year U of L coach has assistant coaches Thomas Carr and Jermaine Ukaegbu with him, along with his son, Johnny Kelsey.

Some of the top prospects in the Class of 2026 and '27 are at the camp, which is run by the NBA Players Association. The camp features around 100 overall prospects, including a number of the top Louisville targets in '26 and '27.

Kelsey started the day watching Kentucky native Tay Kinney, a five-star point guard originally from Newport, Ky. Kinney is ranked as the No. 14 player in the '26 class by 247Sports and just made an official visit to Louisville last week.

The 6-foot-1 Kinney, who left Newport High School after his sophomore season and now plays for Overtime Elite, had 19 points, four assists, and two steals with Kelsey - and his son - among other coaches watching. Kinney was 8 of 14 from the field, including 2 of 4 on three-pointers.

In the second set of games, Kelsey and son watched a game that featured several Louisville targets, including the Cardinals' most recent offer. Phoenix St. Mary's power forward Cameron Williams was offered by the Cardinals on May 22, joining Indiana, Arizona, SMU, Notre Dame, Washington, Stanford, and USC on his offer list.

Williams has become a top target for the Cardinals, and he played well in front of Kelsey. The 6-foot-11 Williams had 12 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocked shots. He was 5 of 9 from the field, including 1 of 2 three-pointers.

Qayden Samuels has not been offered by Louisville but has said he would make a visit later this summer with two AAU teammates had a game-high 33 points. The 6-foot-5 Samuels was 13 of 21 from the field, including 5 of 9 on three-pointers.

Also in the same game, U of L '26 target Christopher Washington had 14 points and 12 rebounds.
