Another NFL Quarterback Is Getting Married After Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers made headlines in two ways this week. The four-time MVP signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, ending a long-offseason odyssey that saw him linked to several teams in free agency.

When the Steelers posted Rodgers signing his new contract, many observant fans noticed that he had a ring on his finger.

"It's a wedding ring," Rodgers said on Tuesday, confirming that he had been married for a "couple of months." After Rodgers' announcement, another NFL quarterback revealed that he would be tying the knot in just a matter of weeks.

"Shoot, my plans. Focus on tomorrow, got another day of practice. Getting married in two weeks," New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye said on Monday, confirming that he would be getting married this month.

The 22-year-old quarterback proposed to his childhood girlfriend Ann Michael Hudson back in January, and five months later they're set to make things official.

Hudson said on her social media that she and Maye have been together since they were 12 years old, and that they both attended North Carolina together.

Maye was the No. 3 overall pick in last year's NFL Draft, as the Patriots selected him after Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels. Maye showed promise last season as a rookie, but the Patriots' struggles as a team overshadowed his individual efforts.

With a new head coach and offensive coordinator this season, as well as some much needed help at wide receiver, Maye is optimistic about 2025.

"I'm starting to really find a stride," Maye said when asked how he's adjusting to the new system in practice.

"It's all the same concepts in the league, but it's different words, different verbiage. It's mostly the same guys running [routes], but just feeling out how they run it and timing when you get into different concepts. It's been good."

New Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel praised his young quarterback, telling reporters that Maye has "a lot of natural leadership qualities."

"I have to encourage him, continue to encourage him and to put him in those positions to do that so that the players understand that there's a different version of all of us," Vrabel said, hoping to make his quarterback a team leader.

We'll see if any other top NFL players follow in Rodgers' and Maye's footsteps by getting married this offseason.
