Door open for Manchester United to sign Oumar Camara
United have been looking far and wide for young talents, with Leon’s arrival from Paraguay a fine example of the worldwide search.
Three Paris Saint-Germain talents have been on United’s radar, with Axel Tape, Mahamadou Sangare and Oumar Camara all targeted.
More United News
Tape has joined Bayer Leverkusen and Sangare is poised to sign for Manchester City, according to Fabrizio Romano.
That leaves Camara as the only one of the trio United can sign – and the door is open for a deal.
Reports from RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins suggested that Camara had agreed to sign for Scottish side Rangers.
The deal appeared to be done, but The Rangers Review claim that the deal is now off with Rangers dropping their interest.
Rangers have just appointed a new manager in Russell Martin and may be moving in a different direction in the transfer market.
Camara is now without a deal heading into the summer and the door is open for United to pounce.
Tape and Sangare may have slipped away, but Camara is now available when United – and other suitors – thought he was off the market.
Manchester United target Oumar Camara profiled
Camara joined the PSG youth ranks from FC 93 Bobigny, heading to the French capital at the age of just 13.
Now 18, Camara has become a key player for PSG’s Under-19s while shining as a winger.
Camara can play on either flank and has racked up 12 goals and five assists in 28 games across all competitions.
A French Under-18 international, Camara is surely still on United’s radar having studied him so closely earlier this year.
L’Equipe claim that the teenager is unlikely to stay with PSG, leaving United with another chance to strike a deal and bring in a potential star of the future out wide.
