Surprise!
Steelers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers surprised the Pittsburgh press corps today by announcing that he is married.
Speculation about Rodgers's change of relationship status began when Pittsburgh posted a photo of their new quarterback inking his one-year, $13.65 million deal with what appeared to be a wedding ring on his finger. At yesterday's mini-camp, ESPN's Brooke Pryor asked Rodgers point-blank about the ring.
"It's a wedding ring," Rodgers replied, not elaborating on the matter.
According to People Magazine, Rodgers wed a woman named Brittani in December of 2024. The couple is keeping her identity a secret for now.
“I didn’t do myself any favors with some of the girls I dated after that that were in the public eye," Rodgers said. "I definitely hated it at first — like, really despised it. I enjoyed my private life."
Rodgers has been previously linked with actresses Shailene Woodley and Olivia Munn, as well as former NASCAR star Danica Patrick.
The quarterback is a sure-fire future NFL Hall of Famer, who is hoping his stint in Pittsburgh will net him yet another kind of ring: One from a second Super Bowl. Rodgers previously won a Super Bowl as a member of the Green Bay Packers in 2011. He was traded to the New York Jets two seasons ago. After missing all of the 2023 season with an Achilles injury, he returned to throw for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns.
The veteran quarterback was released earlier in the offseason, paving the way for his eventual signing with the Steelers.
