Aston Villa now want 25y/o Man Utd signed for €85m, Eddie Howe & Spurs also keen

Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are all interested in recruiting the services of Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho this summer, according to the Sun.

The 25-year-old spent last season out on loan at Chelsea and is looking for a new club as Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim has no plans to integrate him back into the team, and he is not short of Premier League suitors.

Villa would love to sign Sancho on loan after a temporary deal for Marcus Rashford turned out successful, but Man United would prefer to sell him to raise funds for a much-needed squad rebuild.

The Old Trafford club paid £73 million (€85m) for the former Borussia Dortmund star in July 2021 and are hoping to recoup some of it, including an obligation to buy him for £25m in his loan deal to Chelsea – which was turned down.

Both Spurs and Newcastle want to bolster their squads after qualifying for the Champions League, and they reckon signing the Man United outcast could come in handy in terms of quality depth in the attacking third.

Magpies boss Eddie Howe wants an experienced winger, and being able to sign Sancho for £25m could be appealing to him.

Tottenham are expected to hire Brentford manager Thomas Frank as their next boss after sacking Ange Postecoglou, and it is unknown whether he is a fan of the Red Devils forward.

Sancho would love to play in the Champions League next season after Man United failed to qualify for Europe, but he will plan to move to where he can play regularly and boost his chances of returning to the England squad.

He could find it tricky to force his way into the starting XI at Spurs, Newcastle or Villa given their current attacking options they boast, and more suitors will likely emerge for his services in the coming days.
