There is concern in Denmark over Rasmus Hojlund as the country prepares for a crucial 2025/26.
As Denmark attempt to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, there is a little extra pressure on Rasmus Hojlund to set himself up for a successful season.
The striker says he wants to stay at Old Trafford, with up to seven different clubs interested in his signature. His recent international experience may have played a helping hand.
Hojlund was dropped for the game against Lithuania and after his replacement scored, the Danish media warned he has lost his place.
Now with Manchester United strengthening in attack, Hojlund is being warned his days at the club could be numbered.

Viktor Gyokeres could end Rasmus Hojlund stint
One of the troubles Rasmus Hojlund has faced at Manchester United is that he has been the first choice, left to shoulder the burden of leading the attack at a young age.
If United sign a new striker it could suit Hojlund. But in a World Cup year, and with United needing to sell players for profit, his days could be numbered.
In Denmark he is being warned to face up to the looming reality of his situation.

Viaplay expert Allan Kuhn assessed United’s transfer activity and told Tipsbladet “Cunha is a 10 for me, he is not a nine. Mbeumo is clearly best when he plays out wide in a Salah role. So I don’t see him as a competitor either.
“But if you say that Gyokeres is on his way to Manchester United, then Hojlund must think ‘okay, then a lot of my playing time will disappear, and then I’m at least not number one as a nine’, which he hasn’t earned with the season he’s had this year.
“So if that happens, I can easily see that Hojlund thinks that he will have to find another place to play next season.”
Viktor Gyokeres situation on hold
Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres has emerged as Manchester United’s top striker target, if common ground can be found on a fee.
United have made contact with Gyokeres’ representatives, but Sporting are disputing that there was an agreement that he could leave for a £63 million fee.
If a deal could be reached, Gyokeres would certainly limit Hojlund’s potential playing time. The Swedish striker is coming off a prolific season and is high in confidence, with experience, everything Hojlund lacks.
The only thing that may save Hojlund is if Joshua Zirkzee is sold instead, but the Dutchman has more leeway, having just played one year at United, and also offering a versatility Hojlund does not.
