Taylor Swift Prepared To Win KC 'Baking' Competition

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his love for Taylor Swift's cooking are well known, especially her Pop-Tarts.

The future Hall of Famer has spoken about them at length over the past couple of years, and now Swift might have some "competition" in the baking department if a recent conversation on the New Heights podcast is anything to go by.

Travis, along with his brother Jason, had Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo on as a guest, and when asked for his favorite Andy Reid story, "Spags" detailed how he used his wife's cooking as a way to stay on the head coach's good side.

"I will tell you this Travis, and you'll be able to appreciate this," Spagnuolo said. "I got the job in '99 and was there for two years. By the third year is when I met Maria, my wife. And you've met Maria. She's legendary for the food that she makes. So, I think I was quality control or maybe I had become the safety coach, but I'm trying to climb the ladder. And the one way to climb the ladder is to keep the head coach, you stay on his good side.

"So on Friday's when Maria would make the, whether it was banana pudding or the sweet potato pie or whatever, I would always sneak one of those bad boys, maybe two or three of them, and leave them in the head coach's office."

So by the sounds of it, Spagnuolo's wife, Maria, might be just as good a cook as Swift, and granted, we are only going by what Kelce and now Spagnuolo have said, but it appears the Chiefs organization might have a couple of star cooks among their ranks.

Given that the Chiefs will soon be heading out to training camp, we think that might be the time for both Maria and Swift to showcase their cooking talents and bring some food for the roster to try and enjoy.

Now, we aren't sure what Maria's signature dish is, unlike Swift, who is great at making Pop-Tarts, but maybe we might find out what that is at training camp.
