FC Salisbury are looking ahead to next season after finishing in 20th place in the National League South in the Sixth Tier of English football.
The club are hoping to bounce back next season after the club’s attack failed to consistently perform, ending the season with a goal difference of -13.
Now, in a bid to turn their attack around, Salisbury have signed Ollie Bray from Aldershot Town in the National League.
Bray has spent most of his career so far being sent out on loan from Aldershot, having stints with Truro City FC, Dartford and Weston-Super-Mare since joining Aldershot in 2023.
However, prior to this in 2022, whilst with Willand Rovers, Bray had a brief trial with Manchester United, with The Red Devils deciding against a permanent move.
During his eight-week trial, the striker played with the Under-21s, making two appearances in the Premier League 2 and registered an assist in United’s 2-2 draw with Fulham.
However, The 22-year-old is now on his way to Salisbury on a free transfer, with the club releasing a statement about his signing.
Speaking on the club’s website, Brian Dutton, Salisbury’s manager commented: “We’re delighted to secure Ollie. He is a player we have been monitoring for a couple of seasons, and when he became available, it was an easy decision for us.”
He continued: “Ollie’s physical attributes are elite; he’s tall, quick and strong. We will work hard with him to continue his footballing development.
“Welcome aboard, Ollie! We look forward to introducing you to our fantastic fans this month.”
Ollie Bray will be hoping to get some more game time with his new club, routinely failing to make the cut for Aldershot, however has been wracking up the appearances in the National League South.
Between his stints with Truro, Dartford and Weston, Bray has made 19 appearances, with a goal for Truro and an assist for Weston.
However, with this being a permanent move to the lower league, Bray will be hoping the stability will help him unlock some better performances going forward.
