PSG have built the kind of squad depththat’s taken them to the brink of a treble, but one player might be eyeing a move elsewhere amid interest from Arsenal and Villarreal.
Under Luis Enrique, the Parisians have leaned on that depth to claim back-to-back Ligue 1 titles and a Coupe de France trophy. The Spanishmanager’s rotation-heavy approach has kept players fresh across three competitions and helped deliver silverware.
Still, not every player wants to be part of a rotation. Some believethey’re ready for a bigger role—and that seems to be the case for Kang-in Lee, whose name is now surfacing in transfer rumors.

While playing with the South Korea national football team during this FIFA international break, Leewas asked about his future amid the transfer rumors as the summer transfer window opens up in a few weeks.
“Honestly, Idon’t know what will happen in the future,”Lee said (h/tFoot-Sur7). “Wherever I am, whetherit’s at PSG or another club,I’ll always try to give my best and be the best I can to help the team.I’ve done that so far, andI’ll keep doing it.”
Fichajes reported that Villarreal are planning to reshape their attacking midfield as Álex Baenais expected to leave this summer. Baena has been a key figure for the club in recent seasons, and his potential departure opens the door for reinforcements.
One playerbeing considered is Kang-in Lee. According to the report, the SouthKorea international is open to a move that would allow him to feel valued again. A return to LaLiga—where he previously impressed—could play abig role in his decision to leave Paris.
Villarreal could offer Lee the kind of environmenthe’s been missing at PSG: consistent minutes, a central role in the attack, and a more stable setting to rebuild his form.
This comes shortly afterThe Sun linked Lee to Arsenal. The report notes that new Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta has long admired Lee and even tried to sign him for Atlético Madrid in 2023.
