INDIANA (WFIE) - Game 3 of the NBA Finals saw fans lining up hours before tip-off, from all across the state, including Evansville.
Robert Lamey is a Memorial grad, and lifelong Pacers fan. He says he wouldn’t miss the chance to see his Pacers on this stage for anything.
“I always like to remind people they’re the Indiana Pacers, not the Indianapolis Pacers,” Lamey says. “I think they do a good job doing preseason camps all across the state, Fort Wayne, Evansvile...”
You know the saying - “In 49 states, it’s just basketball,” but in Indiana, everyone is united behind the blue and gold.
It’s the chance to witness history that has the Hoosier state going all out for their Pacers.
