Manchester United have decided to submit an initial offer for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres, Fichajes has claimed.
The Red Devils are reportedly willing to test the Portuguese club’s resolve with a first bid, as they aim to reunite Gyokeres with manager Ruben Amorim in a 'high-profile transfer'.
The Swedish international is expected to leave Sporting this summer and has no shortage of Premier League suitors, with both Arsenal and Liverpool also monitoring his situation.
Gyokeres, praised as 'the hottest striker in Europe', is reportedly available for €80m (£67m) in the transfer market, after Sporting raised their asking price and reportedly ‘infuriated’ the 26-year-old forward.

According to Fichajes, Man United’s setback in their pursuit of Liam Delap has seen them reignite their interest in Gyokeres, whose next career destination is now expected to be the Premier League.
