Arne Slot will be keen to welcome a few more new faces to Anfield this summer. Liverpool have already made their first marquee signing of the window, signing Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen for just £29.5m.
The Reds have also quietly wrapped a up deal for Ármin Pécsi, snatching the 20-year-old goalkeeper from Puskas Akademia. Liverpool have shown no sign of slowing down, with Florian Wirtz creeping closer to becoming the most expensive signing in Premier League history.
If Slot wants to splash the cash – and remain compliant with spending rules – he may have to offload some bigearners, like Darwin Nunez. So, with that being said, the ECHO has rounded up the latest Liverpool news and transfer gossip.

Liverpool eye Bournemouth star
According to Fabrizio Romano on GiveMeSport, Liverpool will begin working on a deal to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth once Florian Wirtz joins. The report claims that agreeing personal terms with the £38m-rated Cherries defender won't be an issue, with one final round of talks on the horizon.
Kerkez, who sees his contract at the Vitality Stadium expire in June 2028, has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool for a while now. The Hungary international played a key role in Andoni Iraola's side this season, helping Bournemouth finish in ninth place.
Serie A star mooted as Liverpool target
Liverpool are also considering a bid for Rafael Leao, according to Mick Brown. Speaking to Football Insider about the £64m-rated AC Milan forward, the former Manchester United scout said: "Rafael Leao is a name I’ve heard mentioned in connection with Liverpool.
"He was very impressive in the Nations League game when Portugal beat Spain. In his good moments, he can explode past the full-back and cause real issues, and he can be lethal, there’s not many players like that."
On Leao's compatibility with Slot, Brown added: "He ticks a lot of boxes for Slot because he has got that explosive burst of pace and he’s very direct in his play, so he would fit in well there.
"We know he wants to add more attackers to his side, and he’s one on the list. Just watch this space, because he could make that move to Liverpool even if he costs them big money."
Real Betis want Liverpool forward
According to Basque newspaper El Correo, Real Betis are interested in signing Federico Chiesa. The 27-year-old forward, who Liverpool signed from Juventus for just £12.5m last August, struggled to impress this season.
The report claims it would be 'much simpler' to sign Chiesa than Antony, who spent the second half of the season on loan from Manchester United and could cost more than £20m. El Correo have reported that Chiesa likes the 'ecosystem' at Real Betis.
