PSG midfielder Carlos Soler, who spent last season on loan at West Ham United, won’t be staying with the club — though a move elsewhere in the Premier League remains a possibility.
Soler joined West Ham last summer in search of regular minutes and a fresh start. Despite interest from multiple clubs, West Ham secured the deal on deadline day.
However, a February report fromClaret and Hugh suggested the club is unlikely to trigger the option to buy included in the loan.
The transfer fee, just under €20 million, isn’t the issue — it’s Soler’s high wages that are making a permanent move tough for West Ham to justify.
