Liverpool have already undergone a few changes this summer, with Arne Slot looking to retain the Premier League title next season.
The Anfield outfit were one of the most dominant teams in England last term and will no doubt be looking to prove their worth once again.
Players such as Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah had career-best campaigns, with both being key to the way that Slot set his team up.
However, to ensure that the Reds remain competitive, some changes will have to be made to their first-team squad with players such as Trent Alexander-Arnold and Caoimhin Kelleher already leaving.

So, with this in mind, it’s not much of a surprise to see other players also being linked with moves away from Merseyside.
Real Betis want to sign Federico Chiesa if they can’t bring Antony back
One player who hasn’t complained about his playing time once this season is Federico Chiesa.
The Italy international was brought in for a cut-rate fee last summer, with many expecting him to hit the ground running.
However, he’s been used as Slot’s sixth-choice attacker and has had little to no game time.

And, as per a report from Football Espana, it seems like the Italian has a new suitor in Real Betis.
Chiesa is one of Manuel Pellegrini’s ‘preferred options’ if a move for Manchester United’s Antony falls through.
The report adds that the La Liga outfit have already ‘contacted’ Chiesa’s camp with an enquiry regarding his situation.
A loan move would be their preferred form of transfer, but it’s unclear whether that’s what Liverpool also want.

Liverpool should give Federico Chiesa a season out on loan
There’s no denying that Chiesa has bags of talent still within him, with Liverpool’s under-21s coach Barry Lewtas even calling him “unbelievable” upon his arrival.
Although he hasn’t featured all that much for Liverpool this season, in the odd game he’s played, his quality has shone through, with his keen eye for goal a major selling point.
It’s also clear that the Italian loves playing for the Anfield outfit, but due to a lack of game time, it makes it hard for him to stay, especially since these are supposed to be his prime years.
If Liverpool do end up getting rid of the Italy international, they won’t lose any money on him due to the cut-rate fee they paid to bring him in last summer.

The 2024-25 season of Federico Chiesa in numbers.
And, even though a sale would make a lot of sense, a season out on loan would be perfect as he’d get his confidence back and perhaps return to the club with a new lease of life.
Indeed, only time will tell what Slot has planned for the Italian, but on the face of things, selling him this summer doesn’t make all that much sense.
