Everton free to sign Chelsea duo as Enzo Maresca announces his Club World Cup squad

Everton fans are still awaiting their first transfer breakthrough this summer.

It has been a story of imminent departures at Everton so far with numerous players announcing their exits at the end of the month.

David Moyes is on course to lose a number of players as free agents but the Scot will now be wanting to see new faces come through the doors at Finch Farm.

Everton are keen to strengthen their midfield with the future of Idrissa Gana Gueye remaining up in the air.

Although Everton fans will have wanted to see a quick start to the window, concluding their deals after 30 June will grant the Blues a fresh slate with PSR.

Everton are hoping their new stadium will give them an advantage when it comes to adding new faces of a higher calibre this summer.

And there are two targets who have now been left out of their club’s FIFA Club World Cup squad for this month.

After the Club World Cup break, Everton could potentially chase some of their other targets from the January transfer window.

On, Wednesday, Chelsea announced their squad to travel for the FIFA tournament.

Everton hold an interest in Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka whose futures are looking incredibly uncertain this summer.

Neither of these two individuals have been included in Chelsea’s squad for their trip to the United States.

It is believed the Chelsea duo have now been listed for sale by Enzo Maresca who is looking to upgrade the two players.

Moyes has wanted a new full-back ever since returning to Merseyside and this could now be the perfect opportunity to pounce.

Everton could add real Premier League experience with Ben Chilwell

Having just spent the second half of the campaign out on loan with Crystal Palace, Ben Chilwell could prove a really smart pickup for the Toffees.

Everton are in need of another left-back to provide Vitaliy Mykolenko with some competition for his spot in the starting XI.

It has been too comfortable for the Ukraine international who has had no other senior left-back pushing him for his place.

Everton attempted to sign Chilwell in January but the left-back decided to remain in London.

However, Chilwell has bags of experience in the Premier League, but he will be a player in demand.
