Wolves fans will be hoping for a successful transfer window under Vitor Pereira, but first, they’re watching several players exit Molineux.
The two biggest of those were the influential Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri, who both sealed their moves to Manchester United and Manchester City, respectively.
Pablo Sarabia was also released by Wolves, alongside veteran Craig Dawson, who was banished from first-team training altogether by Vitor Pereira.
Goncalo Guedes is being courted by Flamengo, as his time in Wolverhampton is also nearing its end, while Hwang Hee-chan is likely to leave after previous interest.
While Guedes and Hwang leaving wouldn’t necessarily sadden the fanbase, the same can’t be said for captain Nelson Semedo.

Marseille have just rejected the chance to sign Nelson Semedo
Semedo sees his contract expire at the end of this month, and although time is ticking, the Portuguese international is showing no urgency to decide what he wants to do.
Wolves have offered Semedo a generous four-year contract, and yet, interest from other clubs is making the decision more difficult.
Benfica tried to sign Semedo, but the right-back doesn’t want to take a pay cut, even if it means sealing a fairytale move to his former club.

Meanwhile, Marseille were the latest to show interest in Semedo, and he could have been swayed by the prospect of Champions League football.
However, according to journalist Walid Acherchour, the Wolves captain has just been rejected by the French side after demanding a big salary.

“Semedo is dead in the water for OM. He’s asking for a big salary,” Archerchour said on the After Foot RMC podcast.
Semedo’s next move is motivated by money
Marseille are an attractive proposition to join with the offer of Champions League football next season, yet, Semedo’s thinking is money-motivated.
A lucrative four-year contract is on the table for him at Wolves, which would probably make him the club’s highest earner after the exits of Cunha and Sarabia.
But he’s still pondering over a decision, and his salary demands suggest he’s either not happy with what the Old Gold are offering him, or he’s waiting for something bigger elsewhere.
Saudi Arabian clubs were previously interested in signing Semedo on a free transfer, and they would inarguably offer him money he couldn’t possibly turn down.
It remains to be seen what Semedo decides to do, as he’s currently leaving Wolves in the dark, and the supporters don’t appreciate that.
