Italian winger Federico Chiesa is reportedly eyeing a potential switch to Real Betis to revive his career.
Chiesa’s Liverpool Struggles Spark Exit Talks
Federico Chiesa joined Liverpool last summer in a £12.5m deal from Juventus. He was seen as a major steal. Nonetheless, his initial season at Anfield was disappointing.
The Italian forward made only 14 appearances, scored 2 goals, and assisted 1. He was unable to make his way into Arne Slot’s starting squad. He had competition from star names like Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, and Luis Diaz. So, he found himself stuck on the fringes of the squad.
Although, he has stated he’d be open to staying on Merseyside. But, the reality is his future remains uncertain. Meanwhile, Reds are reportedly eyeing German wonderkid Florian Wirtz this summer.
Injuries and poor form have also added to Chiesa’s rough patch in England. That makes it clear that a change of scene could benefit both him and the club.
Reports in Spain state that Real Betis are interested in Federico Chiesa. I would love to see Chiesa stay and get a full pre season and get back into Slot's plans. pic.twitter.com/r5kMZMf5Ui

Real Betis Could Offer Chiesa a Fresh Start
While a return to Serie A seemed likely, new buzz links Chiesa with a shock move to Spain. Spanish outlet El Correo reports that Real Betis has emerged as a possible landing spot for the Italian winger.
Although, Betis haven’t yet made an official move. But, sources suggest Chiesa’s camp is showing interest in the club’s current setup under Manuel Pellegrini. The Spanish side is in costly pursuit of Antony at the moment. Antony was on loan from Manchester United. Now, signing Chiesa looks easy and more better option.
Recently, he has suffered injury setbacks and a dip in performance. But, his talent and experience could add flair to Betis’ frontline. With Euro 2026 in sight, Chiesa is keen on regular minutes to get back into Italy’s national team. And La Liga could be the place where he revives his career.
