Marcus Rashford has hit back at an online critic who took a swipe at the Manchester United star after sharing training footage.
The 2024/25 season is over, and Aston Villa are not taking up the option to sign Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal.
Rashford, 27, joined Aston Villa on loan for the second half of the season. He scored four goals and registered six assists in 17 matches for Unai Emery’s side, but did not do enough to warrant a £40m transfer to the Midlands club.
It is unlikely that Rashford will play under Ruben Amorim again, after falling out of favour with the Manchester United head coach, which means he could leave Old Trafford this summer.
Rashford dreams of a transfer to Barcelona, but it remains to be seen if the La Liga champions will make an offer for the England international.

Marcus Rashford hits back at critical fan
Rashford has documented his training while on summer break.
The United forward is using his time off to recover from an injury that saw his season end prematurely.
In the latest round of training footage, Rashford shared a video on Instagram doing cardio work, running and jumping on the pitch as he prepares to hit the ground running in pre-season.

Amorim may have a decision to make whether to take Rashford on United’s pre-season tour in the United States. It may depend on whether the England international can secure a move away from the club between now and then.
Rashford accompanied the clip with the caption: “Feeling better again,” alongside a grinning emoji.
This led to a critical response from one fan on X, writing: “Every pre-season he does these photo shoots but then goes to see boxing matches half way round the world days before important matches!
“Makes no sense if you are feeling good one month before the season starts.”
Rather than let the comment slide, Rashford replied, clarifying that he was referring to the fact that he is recovering from injury.
United have signed Matheus Cunha and they’re looking to add Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo to the squad before the new season. That means there is less room for Rashford at United, especially when he is one of the club’s top earners.
How Rashford sale would help PSR regulations
After coming through United’s Academy, Rashford would represent pure profit if United were to sell the forward this summer.
It was the same case last summer when United sold Scott McTominay to Napoli.
This will help United’s PSR status, helping the club stay within the guidelines and allow them to spend more money on transfer fees as well as wages.
It makes sense for all parties because Rashford is not part of Amorim’s plans.
