Eagles Continue College Push With Executive Hire

It seems no team has lost more front-office personnel in the last 10 years than the Philadelphia Eagles.

From Brandon Brown to Joe Douglas to many others, the Eagles have seen top executive assistants to general manager How Roseman leave for other organizations around the league.

That leaves Roseman with a difficult task: ….

Replacing those top assistants with successful people in their own right.

And once again … Roseman and the Eagles appear to be doing just that.

Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reports that the Eagles hired Preston Tiffany for an undisclosed role. While we aren't sure exactly what position Tiffany is taking over, he has plenty of college football experience.

Tiffany previously served as LSU's player personnel director and spent four years with Ole Miss before that.

Tiffany's hire cannot be overlooked. Philadelphia is always looking for bright young minds to work in its front office. This is how the organization has been able to succeed despite the consistent turnover in the executive room.

The biggest name that hasn't changed, though, is Roseman. Since being hired as general manager in 2010, the long-time Eagles executive has built, torn down, and rebuilt the organization from scratch multiple times.

It's a big reason the team has won two Super Bowl titles in eight years. It should not come as a surprise that the organization is looking into the college ranks to solve some of its personnel holes, either.

Philadelphia is always looking for unique ways to stay ahead of the curve. While other teams may look to sign executives from other organizations, the Eagles have often looked to the college ranks.

It could lead them to be even more aggressive in upcoming drafts and better prepare them for some of the prospects that emerge.

Either way, the latest hire is an example of Roseman clearly trying to stay ahead of the curve.
