This Pa. native defender is an X-factor in Penn State’s 2025 season goals

[Penn State](https://www.pennlive.com/pennstatefootball/) has a strong recent history at the defensive end/edge rusher position. Tracing a line from Abdul Carter (this year’s No. 3 pick in the NFL Draft) to Shareef Miller (a fourth-rounder in 2019), the Nittany Lions have seen 10 such players selected in the past seven years. Four have gone in the first round, two in the second, one in the third, one in the fourth and two in the seventh.

And in at least two cases, players came a bit out of nowhere to increase their draft stock to the upper rounds: Odafe Oweh and Adisa Isaac. Oweh put on a show with his athleticism in pre-draft circuits despite minimal on-field production to become a first-rounder, while Isaac — injured for the entire 2021 season — turned things around in two healthy seasons to find his way into the third round. Now, both have made their homes with the Baltimore Ravens.
