Liverpool are on the brink of a record-breaking British transfer befitting their status as England's most successful football club.
Arne Slot and his team are in a commanding position after clinching the Premier League title and are set to defend their domestic crown. The Dutch manager will be provided with the resources to bolster the squad, having primarily worked with the same group of players he took over from Jurgen Klopp last summer.
While the spotlight is on incoming transfers, notably the golden boy of German football Florian Wirtz - having already signed his former Bayer Leverkusen team-mate Jeremie Frimpong to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold - and the likes of Bournemouth ace Milos Kerkez, several departures are also anticipated.
Darwin Nunez could be the most high-profile exit, with Liverpool considering bringing in a new No.9, but he's not the only one in the squad who may bid farewell to Anfield this summer. As things heat up, here's all the latest transfer news and rumours from Anfield.
Progress in Wirtz negotiations
They are inching closer to an agreement, but discussions between Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen continue over the finer points of the colossal deal that would bring Florian Wirtz to Anfield, reports the Mirror.

The Reds won't meet Leverkusen's £126million valuation of their coveted star. However, they are willing to guarantee the Bundesliga club £100m, with the deal potentially surpassing the current British transfer record when add-ons are included.
Negotiations are set to proceed, with a deal appearing increasingly likely as the Reds look to secure the signature of the 22-year-old attacking midfielder.
Leverkusen have Quansah in their sights

Rumours have been rife about potential player swaps to seal the deal for Wirtz, and now Bayer Leverkusen's interest in Jarrel Quansah has been confirmed.
The Athletic reports the £40million-rated defender is firmly on the German club's radar as they look to bolster their backline.
However, any move for Quansah would be independent of the mega-deal involving Wirtz, who could become the priciest Premier League signing ever if he joins Anfield.
Leverkusen are scouting for a new central defender following Jonathan Tah's free transfer to Bayern Munich and the 22-year-old star, who struggled for playing time under Slot last season, could be just the ticket.

Kerkez is high on the Reds' wishlist as they search for additional left-back options. Negotiations are underway with one of the Cherries' key players, and the Hungarian international is eager to join Slot's squad.
Kluivert has spilled the beans to Voetbal Primeur, saying: "He'll probably go there. I hope so for him. He hasn't really said goodbye yet, but I hope he'll make it happen there."
