Everton have completed the paperwork on the official appointment of a new director, sources have told Football Insider.
As per a Companies House submission on Wednesday (11 June), Angus Kinnear has now joined the Premier League side’s board.
Everton moved to bring Kinnear in as their new chief executive from Leeds United in March, with the deal completed at the end of the 2024-25 season.
The 47-year-old spent eight years as CEO at Elland Road, while he also previously held senior roles with West Ham and Arsenal.
Everton had been without a permanent CEO since Denise Barrett-Baxendale’s resignation in the summer of 2023, with Colin Chong taking on the role on an interim basis.
Owner Dan Friedkin was appointed as an Everton director in March alongside Eric Williamson, who has worked in various leadership roles at The Friedkin Group (TFG) across the past 35 years.

Everton owners to take US-style approach
Everton are preparing to make the move into their new stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock after playing their final game at Goodison Park.
TFG is hoping the move will help significantly improve the Merseysiders’ revenues after completing its takeover in December.
Everton’s owners are looking to take a US-style approach towards matchdays at the 52,888-seater facility, which has now been named the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The club’s revenue increased from £172million in 2022-23 to £187million in 2023-24, while their commercial income dropped slightly from £38.9million to £38.5million across the same period.

Everton and Newcastle frontrunners in Jack Grealish race
David Moyes is looking to improve his squad this summer after steering Everton away from relegation trouble and securing a 13th-place finish in the Premier League table.
Football Insider revealed on 11 June Everton and Newcastle United are leading the race to sign Jack Grealish as he looks set to leave the Etihad Stadium.
Sources say a loan deal, with Manchester City covering a portion of the winger’s wages, is the “most likely” outcome.
The 29-year-old is keen to feature regularly at a new club ahead of the World Cup in North America next year.
